How are those of us who follow Jesus supposed to relate to Muslims? This is not a question about differences between the religions of Christianity and Islam, nor is it about political distinctions between the Muslim world and the West. It is, rather, a question of the heart. In this first session of the four session Muslims, Christians, and Jesus DVD international Muslim-Christian relations expert Carl Medearis teaches on how we express an attitude of love and compassion toward people we don’t understand; how we can reach out to people who follow an unfamiliar religion that most of us find intimidating; and how we deal with our fear and suspicion so that we might begin to build bridges that lead to Jesus, the Price of Peace. Hagee says that Hitler was doing God’s will and Parsley is on a Crusade against all Muslims. Hagee also has said that God damned the gulf coast with Katrina because of a scheduled upcoming gay pride festival in Neww Orleans and has called the Catholic church a whore. Anyone who doesn’t think this is worse than Obama’s Rev wright problem obviously doesn’t believe in the separation of church and state. What’s said in your church by your pastor is no one’s business (That’s why many of our founding fathers came to America). But when you pull a preacher out and use him for political benefit like McCain did, then what they say becomes everyone’s business.

In Canada a Muslim group appealed to restrict entry into the cafeteria during certain hours so that they can hold Imam-led prayer service. This is a violation of the Separation of Church and State. Children are immpressionable, and this is exactly the reason why it Adults leading prayers is BANNED in public school systems, even if the prayer is non-voluntary, because it violates the parent’s right to be in control over the religious influences their child is exposed to. A chapel should have been built , privately funded, outside of public school grounds. and the students walk there to pray. No Catholic priests should hold mass at public school. No rabbis should Teach Judaism. No Baptist preachers should deliver fire and brimstone sermons, and no Imam should have the right to preach in a public school. Students of any faith are free to pray and worship as they see fit during breaktime, lunchtime, recesstime. But you cannot turn the Cafeteria into a Mosque for Clergy Adults to use as a pulpit.
