Pure in HeartIs it possible for modern day Christians to strive for mastery and have a pure Heart? Christ says; Blessed are the Pure in Heart: for they shall see God. Matt 5:8 I have found that the more that I obey Christ’s commandments and as I’m led daily by Christ’s Holy Spirit that my heart is purged from my sins. It is a daily fight that is making my faith, hope and charity stronger as I take on the challenge of growing in grace and knowledge. Is it important to you to have a pure heart as we serve Christ?Paul, James and Peter each share in their letters teaching us that having a pure heart is an important goal that gives each of us hope. Some examples from Paul: whatsoever things are pure Phil 4:8/ charity out of a pure heart 1Tim 1:5/ call on the Lord out of a…

If these words are aimed at anyone in particular, it is myself. It’s me who’s had to learn a lesson. But it is also for everyone – Christian or not. I want to look at Jeremiah 17 verse 9.The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Well, it isn’t beyond cure.I think people often say the opposite to what they mean in order to draw attention to the point. Jeremiah also said “Is there no balm in Gilead?” A balm is a soothing oil, and the region of Gilead was recognised for plants with healing and soothing oils; the oil was exported to other countries. But Jeremiah wasn’t saying, “I cannot find any healing balm there.” He was saying, “Of course there is a balm in Gilead. We all know that. You don’t need me to tell you.” Jeremiah is sometimes called the weeping prophet. He could see,…

All of us have had storms in our lives.I will never forget one time some years ago when I was going through a life storm; I said all of the right things out of my mouth. “I trust you Lord”, “God shall supply all of my needs,” “The Lord will be right on time…” But God knew my heart; I wokeup one morning, knelt down and closed my eyes to say my morning prayer. And I saw these words; HAVE NO DOUBT. God is alive and well and willing to forgive and save each one of us. His reward will be an eternity in Heaven instead of Hell.Everyone goes through hard times in their life.
I have been proclaiming the glory, righteousness, truth, and love of God for many years now. I have witnessed to many people churches, pastors, family, friends, bloggers, YouTubers, emails to around the world, my website viewers, instate and out of state. Some were nonChristians, but most called themselves Christians.I have used Gods truth to mostly proclaim His gospel in love and try to show Gods great love, but I have also done a little proclaiming of the fear of God to strike some fear into people. I have tried to share Gods promises, wonders, and all the great gifts He wants to give us in this life time and into our eternity. I have tried to teach and mentor others in as many different ways and angles with Gods truth to hopefully have people see and want the fullness of Gods gifts. The result of all this has been my greatest…

The vagaries of life can cause tremendous doubts to arise in our hearts regarding Gods provision, protection and even our very salvation. These doubts came to the disciples after Jesus death. They could not understand how the one who had performed such miracles had faced such a bloody and gruesome death and had not escaped from it. When he met the two on the road to Emmaus they were in such doubt that they were not sure any more that Jesus was the promised Messiah nor did they believe the reports of the women that he had risen from the dead, the crucifixion having obliterated their faith. Later, when Jesus met with the disciples he asked them, Why are you troubled and why do doubts arise in your hearts? The trials of this life cause us to doubt also. What do we do when this happens? We have to understand…

IntroductionDiscussion on Christian faith for our generation Christian faith for our generation is something that we are still defining. How we interact with the different elements of our faith has crossed a line of importance. We are taking over the churches, our generation is coming of age quickly and people are beginning to look to the Christian men and women from our generation to understand what faith in Jesus Christ and relationship with God means. As we come into the spotlight we can have the same questions as those who are watching us. What the heck is it? How and why is faith in Jesus Christ relevant? The more conversations I have with fellow Christians, the more I am motivated to talk about some of the basic concepts that make up our faith. Why? Our relationship with our faith is making a transition, from doing what we were told is right to…

This was written on November 27, 2011I was reading in my book and this is what God spoke to my heart. It was a great word of encouragement to me as I hope that it will be for you. God is waiting and longing for us to speak to Him so that he can speak to our hearts, words of comfort, joy, and guidance. Precious is the one who comes before me with an repented heart. Not just a heart of Im sorry but one that wants to turn around and change. You will never, in your eyes, be the perfect one You will always see yourself as insufficient and unworthy. But I see you differently. I see you strong, courageous, a warrior, helping in the Great Master Plans. Put on my glasses and see the world. See the need and where you can go to touch them. See yourself…
