The election of this certification that an item is kosher is done voluntarily by the companies enabling those who follow this Religious Prescription access to their products. This is promoted by marketing agencies for the food manufacturers’ benefit to have a broader market. This is not done by the Rabbis or the Jewish community.

@poitrenaud You say this is strictly voluntary. Food manufacturers know they’ll be vilfied by the rabbinic unions if they don’t aquiesce to their racist agenda and that’s a fact. Kosher certified food gives no assurances that the quality of the product is going to be any better. A recent report from Natural News regarding a company whose factory had become contaminated with salmonella indicated that many of the products were kosher approved.

How do think the Jewish community would react to a Christian or Muslim tax on the food they had to purchase?
